10 Most Romantic Ways to Propose on Valentine’s Day

Proposing to that special someone is always a harrowing task. One that sends shivers down the spine of each and every man, despite all the external bravado. The pressure to get it just right, the nervous anticipation and the dread of rejection make it an undertaking fraught with difficulties. But, Valentine’s Day is the day for celebrating love and romance, and you are willing to take your chances!
The challenge is a tall one. The best things in life are never easy and free anyway but there is one powerful weapon in your armory that will help you easily win life’s biggest battle so far i.e. Romance in huge dollops. Floor her with your romantic streak and half the battle is won. Do it in style and chances are she is already planning her wedding trousseau.
So here I have compiled a list of 10 most romantic ways to propose to your girlfriend on Valentine’s Day and get her to say ‘Yes’!.. I hope one of these will work for you J
Roses and Handmade Card
Present her with a dozen long-stemmed red roses along with a handmade card instead of going for the usual store-bought one. Affix a battery-operated device to the card so that when she opens it, it ‘talks’ to her: ‘Will you marry me?” Tie your engagement ring to the stems of the bouquet.
Chocolates and Diamond
Get an attractive heart-shaped candy box. Fill it with delectable designer chocolates. Remove the centre piece and place your diamond engagement ring there. Have a personal message engraved on the ring. Alternately, fill the box with chocolate letters, spelling out ‘Marry me’ with your engagement ring nestled inside.
Proposal on the wall
If you are celebrating Valentine’s Day at your place, rent her most favorite romantic movie. Halfway through the movie that you are watching on your home theatre let the screen go blank. Pretend to see what’s wrong and project your proposal on the wall.
Roses and Diamonds
This needs an advance purchase of a large amount of red roses. Write ‘Will you marry me?’ with rose petals on her lawn. Or, if she is coming over to your pad, greet her with your rose-petalled proposal on the living room floor. Keep an open velvet box in the centre in which your sparkling diamond engagement ring awaits her finger.
Restaurant Proposal
Take her for dinner to a fancy restaurant — if possible get a cozy corner seat. Arrange beforehand with the manager for what is going to happen next. Ask the waiter to bring the menu card. Hers will be slightly different. As she opens it, she reads your romantic proposal on it. Or arrange for your proposal to fall out of a fortune cookie which will be served with dessert.
A Teddy Bear
Proposals can be nerve-wrecking affairs. To lighten the atmosphere, tickle her funny bone. Get a soft cuddly toy (teddy bears top the list). Add a diamond engagement ring around its neck and fit an audio device within the teddy. As she squeezes the teddy, he pops the question to her.
Love at Park
Take her to a fairly secluded spot in a lovely park. When you are about to reach there, blindfold her and lead her to the place. Pull off the blindfold and let her eyes fall on a placard (which you have placed there in advance), decorated with hearts saying, ‘Will you marry me?”
Cook For Her
Restaurants are going to be overcrowded, not to mention overpriced. Certainly not the best of places for having a heart-to-heart with your loved one. Don an apron and cook dinner for her at your place instead. Have chilled champagne ready and tie a satin ribbon to the champagne flute. This is no ordinary ribbon but has your engagement ring attached to it. Whichever dessert you offer her, have ‘Will you marry me’ piped in chocolate around the edges of the dessert platter.
Candle Light Dinner
Depending on her personality, prepare your strategy. For the ultra romantic and feminine girl (who has secretly been dreaming of this moment ever since she was a little girl), play the knight in the shining armour. This one calls for the complete candlelight dinner-flowers routine, including dropping down on one knee and proposing to her with a sparkling engagement ring.
Location Does Matter
Arrange for a romantic private dinner, either on the beach or at your place, and have a myriad lit candles spell out your proposal for you.
Remember, even though it is tempting to propose to your lady love via email or a recorded voice message, don’t give in to it. Every woman desires that the most significant moment in her life be conducted live! So, go right ahead and propose to your sweetheart. Cupid is secretly rooting for you!

Shivering burns calories, so if you can spend more time outside when it’s cold, you’ll crank up the calorie furnace. Even if you don’t shiver, though, you can get a 3-7% increase in calorie burn just from your body warming itself

Your fat burning enzymes and metabolism are more active when your standing. By exchanging sitting for standing you can burn up to a few hundred calories per day.

Really! losing weight is as simple as breathing.Try this exercise for a better metabolism rate, inhale slowly through your nose, hold for a 1 count, then exhale through your mouth. Once you’ve practiced and perfected this form of breathing, it can become a natural mechanism for burning more calories without exercising.

Festive Fashion

Festive season is upon us and with it brings loads of parties.Deciding what to wear is a mission for every woman. One thing for sure is that the festive season allows you to glam up in style. With so many options available a woman is certainly spoilt for choice.Below are some of my personal favourites.

White Dress goes Glam!!!

A white dress is a great choice for this summer season. A simple white dress teamed up with the right accessories and a pair of strappy sandals will have you looking glam with very little effort.. White dresses are refreshing and summery. Wearing white dresses well, however, is a little more complex than the simplicity suggested by the colour. White doesn’t suit all people but it is a colour many can wear without problems (provided the fit of the dress looks good).
Tips to note:
Avoid clinging white dresses. White is not a colour that is flattering when it clings to your curves. Select white dresses that are flowing and flatter your figure.
Choose appropriate accessories. A white dress can be complimented with many kinds of accessories but a key element is to keep it simple. Earthy coloured accessories go well (bangles, beads etc.) For a different look it could be accessorised with metallic’s. Below are some of my favourite white dresses and accessories:

Hair Styles this Season

Being fashionable is not only about wearing the latest fashion. A good hairstyle is a must to finish off your look.
Finding the right trendy hairstyle is possible with so many trends out this season.
You just need to choose the most flattering one and get the best out of it. Take a peek at the hair styles below for inspiration to find the look that works for you.
Everything stands in your attitude and the boldness to be different.
