We hear a lot these days about sustainable fashion; but one label that stands out for it's super-cool twist on the concept is Christopher Raeburn. Raeburn uses de-commissioned European military stock to source fabrics for his garments. The latest collection includes a range of quite unique bomber jackets made from re-deployed military parachutes.

Milla Jovovich: 1940s mermaid waves hairstyle
We noted it as one of 2009's hair trends and Milla Jovovich is right on top of it. Yes we're talking about classic 1940's inspired waves, or what we also know as the 'mermaid wave', which Milla wore to the The American Museum Of Natural History's Museum Dance.
Victoria Beckham casual in PRPS boyfriend jeans
It's a rare sight to see: Victoria Beckham trading her usual slim silhouettes and towering heels for slouchy boyfriend jeans and flip-flops. Posh was spotted leaving Wembley Stadium in the PRPS Barracuda Boyfriend Jeans, which she smartened up with a semi-sheer black top and tailored black jacket.

Jimmy Choo & Hunter Wellingtoon boots
Living in Australia at present, I'm currently moving into the Autumn/Winter 2009 season; the two seasons which, as anyone who knows me can tell you, make me ridiculously happy despite all the glum weather. That's because as the temperature drops, the fashion stakes rise. More utterly cool fashion pieces become available to us, such as this ridiculously hot pair of Wellington Boots from Jimmy Choo and Hunter.
Perfect for the Britprep look, I can only hope they don't do the dirty on all us chaps and make them in women's sizes only!
While a crocodile print, these Wellingtons are still made from the natural rubber that one can trust from Hunter. They'll retail for $395.
If you're off to Glastonbury this season grab two pairs. I take a gents size 10.5. Thanks.

interview with Lisa Grinceri
This Saturday 28th March at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Lisa Grinceri and her team of talented hair and make up artists will showcase their individual talents at Perth's biggest hair and fashion show; Skattwalk.
For the 5th year running, over 100 models will showcase the talent and creativity we have come to expect from non other than the hair and make up artists at Skatt. I was fortunate enough to sit down with Lisa to hear what she had to say about the event and everything Skatt.
Vicky: "Lisa, what was/is the inspiration behind Skattwalk?"
Lisa: "Hairdressers and makeup artists are so talented and have a massive impact on the fashion industry; however this is often forgotten with the focus always being on the clothing and textiles. Skattwalk is an opportunity to celebrate and present this talent to the public. It is also a very rare opportunity for the public to have an opportunity to experience a live runway fashion event, as sadly most fashion shows are invite only. Skattwalk is open to everyone that shares a passion and interest in fashion."
Vicky: "How will this year's Skattwalk differ from the previous 4 years?"
Lisa: "2009 will be larger than previous Skattwalk events with 14 incredible sections. More fashion designers are involved and this means more models and more amazing hair designs."
Vicky: "Lisa, you've been called some pretty positive names in the past, what are your thoughts on being named Business Manager of the Year at the Fellowship for Australian Hairdressing Business and Wholesaler Awards?"
Lisa: "It was an incredible honour to be recognised Australia wide for my work as a business manager. One of the greatest things about running a business is the opportunity to make your dreams and vision a reality. I have been able to start something very unique and special and have many people support the vision along the way. To be recognised for this work just makes me want to do even more and push the boundaries further."
Vicky: "That said, you are not a qualified hair dresser; do you have any plans to become one in the future?"
Lisa: "As much as I respect the role of a hairdresser it is not for me. I believe that you must be truly passionate about your career and work, especially as a hairdresser. I have never had a desire to do hair myself and with so many talented and skilled hairdressers around me I don’t see the need. Running a growing business is enough of a challenge to keep me very busy and excited."
Vicky: "What's on the horizon for Skatt?"
Lisa: "Like all wonderful things Skatt will just keep growing. Skatt's new concept salons have been so well received by the public. Everyday more and more people are finding out about these unique salons and are blown away by the whole concept. We will keep opening more salons and building our reputation for fabulous service.
Skatt's goal is to be recognised as setting the standard for fashion in Australia. My aim is that Skatt will have salons all across Australia with over five in WA, along with a Skatt education centre and health retreat."
Vicky: "Describe the Skatt team in 3 words or less."
Lisa: "Talented, Enthusiastic, Chic."
Vicky: "How would you describe Skattwalk to the Perth socialite who has 2 events on the same night as the show, and isn't sure which one to attend?"
Lisa: "Skattwalk is a totally unique must see event! You can experience a live runway event showcasing Perth's most talented hair and makeup artists. This unique opportunity will allow you to see upcoming fashion designers and hair creations that will have you on the edge of your seat. You will mix with the fashion industry and experience the glamour of a true fashion show."
To join Lisa and her talented, enthusiastic and chic team at this year's annual Skattwalk, tickets are available for $65 and include entry into Skattwalk 2009, complimentary pre-show drinks and a fun-filled show bag. To get your hands on one contact any of Skatt's three salons: Skatt Claremont 9385 3123, Skatt Northbridge 9227 1334, Skatt Mt Hawthorn 9443 6500 or visit http://www.skatt.com.au.
High-waisted leather leggings from Aritzia
You mightn't yet be aware of it, but if you decide to experiment with 2009 and 2010 fashion trends you're going to end up wearing a lot of leather. Perhaps not all at the same time (unless that's how you spend your weekend), but there'll be plenty of options and just as many layers. And when it comes to selecting those layers you'd be amiss to overlook high-waisted leather leggings.
